PROJECT CASE STUDY

SOLDIERS OF OXFORDSHIRE – MUSEUM

berkeley integra was recently involved in the fitting out of a exciting new museum with Feltham Construction in Woodstock.

For 70 years the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry museum was located in Cowley barracks in Oxford, however in 2000 the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Trust was established to find a permanent home for the archives and collections. The Trust set about creating the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum. After many years of fundraising and securing the lease of the land behind The Oxfordshire Museum building work could begin. The main core is the collections, both objects and archives, of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and the Queens Own Oxfordshire Hussars.

berkeley integra’s fitting out work included the construction of new internal walls and fitting a very complex Armstrong ‘Solo’ panel ceiling system which gives the museum very contemporary design.

berkeley integra’s contract of £115,000 formed part of the £3.9m project.
